pst...if you haven't figured what the big black area is....click (and hold) on the small triangle.

Hi, my name is Eva-Marie. I live in Stockholm, Sweden. Stockholm is built on 14 islands and connected by 40 bridges, and seen by many as the Venice of Scandinavia. I find it a beautiful city to live in, with plenty to do, to cater for a variety of tastes.
In Sweden we enjoy four seasons....some times I think I could do without the winter but, having grown up with it I'd most likely miss it if I didn't have it. And no, we don't have polar bears walking our streets, and the people aren't all blondes with blue eyes (another myth ruined, right?)
At the moment I'm unemployed, but not without jobs to do, the last couple of years my partner and I have been building a house, nothing a would do again even if I got paid....once is enough! I enjoy cycling when I want to get a bit of exercise. Another of my past times is lounging on the settee, working on an embroidery or something similar (idle hands....)
I also like going to the movies, preferably alone since I can't stand having people whispering in my ear as I try to concentrate on what I'm watching. I also enjoy a nice meal in a restaurant and gulp a pint or two in one of Stockholms many pubs. :-)

Here is a place with some Stockholm info (in English). If you want more information I could send you to Lonely Planet and their Destination Sweden
I like to play cards on the net, and one good place to do it is at

My very first game after connecting my computer was scrabble. Here's
a good site. You'll get a free
trial period, and after that you'll have to pay a small fee to become
a member. It's a very friendly place where all ages mix together.

It was at the scrabble site that I came in contact with Brenda. She
has been to see me, all the way from Vancouver, Canada
to Stockholm, Sweden. We toured Stockholm with surroundings, walked a
great deal, talked even more and had some good laughs :)
Here are some pictures from that meeting.
Stockholm had a visit from The Jim Rose Show....and I went to see it.
I love travelling to as many new places as I can, Rarotonga being
the exception....it's my personal paradise. Take a look at some of my
holiday pictures. If you wish to copy any of the pictures, I would
appreciate if you'd ask me first. Thanks

At Learn2 you can learn to do anything from poaching an egg to cleaning your computer inside and out.
Small handy things you've always wanted to know how to do, but were to embarrased to ask your mother.
